Being the 2nd and 3rd generation gang members I don't want to see people with Samoan first names.
We're American-born Samoans and we should have American first names and Samoan last names.
Example: Joshua Mapu, Jonathan Maugatai, etc.
Exceptions will be made for a few people with American last names (African Americans) but majority should have Samoan last names and American first names.

It's not uncommon for there to be one child in a family that has a Samoan first name. There's also a bunch of Samoans with completely White names like Jason Howard. Both parents could be Samoan, but the mother or father might be half White and their parents married so they only took on their father's surname.
I know a few Samoans who use English first names but when they are with family, they use their Samoan first name. Sometimes it's their middle name, sometimes it's just a name they have that isn't written down. Sometimes it is their real name and they use an English name to avoid people mispronouncing their names.

That's true but then again Samoans are known for sticking to their culture and marrying partners of the same nationality. I can assure you that there are more Samoan kids with Samoan last names than American last names. I totally agree with you though, but bare in mind that we're doing this to avoid OOC confusion, having an American first name & last name along with a light skinned negro skin to top it off means having to constantly spam /ame is of Samoan heritage all the time.

Just to clear the air here.
You can role-play having a full American name inherited from (whatever ethnicity your father is/was). If you are of Samoan descent.
